  Hubcap Self-Destructed

Noticed the rear right hubcap was loose. Checked it out, and saw it had broken off inside partially. Got a new hubcap under warranty from the dealer.

I have a 2007 Versa hatchback that I bought in May 2009 from the dealership in Burlington, NC. I have since had to replace one hubcap in August, wasn't sure if stolen or what? Replaced that one, not cheap either! Well, yesterday noticed the other front left hubcap did not appear to be tightly pressed in, but it wasn't loose enough that I could easily pull off. I pushed on a little and it looked like all the rest. Of course on the ride home I hit a bump and off it came and a metal ring under it rolled it a separate direction. I chased down the hubcap(it picked up some speed and jumped a ditch). I never saw the metal ring and hoped it wasn't important.
Of course, owning many cars over the years never have any of my hubcaps jumped ship before, much less two and thought since I had found it all would be okay. Nope! I asked the service guy and he said clip broken?

I am working out something with the sales mgr, but have to go back in in a month, so have to look like a loser without until then

If not replacing soon with wheels. Should get some walmart hubcaps or bolt on hubcaps. bolt on are the best way to go. The hubcaps for the versa are made so cheaply. A driver drives one and she's replaced several at least 5 times (Her grandma has great ties with Nissan they give her pretty much what she wants so my friend gets all her hubcap replacements free).
