I don't know how they compare to the other springs, probably not as good since they make it lower and they are a little bit cheaper also.

I think you'll be happy with the Tanabe springs.

So I went and changed to the Eibach, and it feels way better handling wise! For the drop, visually it's the same drop.

So don't listen to all these guy that are sold to Tanabe. They are sold for one brand and only care about visual appearance.

Just wondering what the "ride quality" difference was between the Tanabe and Eibach springs. I put the Tanabe's on and found the ride very harsh compared to stock when it was only a 5% spring rate increase. Almost all little bumps and groves felt like huge pot holes to me. So I guess I am asking which set of springs has the smother more "stock" feeling ride?

were you using just the springs? did you have a strut bar? i have been more than satisfied with my Tanabe springs... the ride quality felt only a bit stiffer than stock... the only thing i could really ask for from the Tanabe springs would be a lower drop...

I'm living in Quebec which has one of the most horrible road and the Tanabe wasn't that comfortable. I can't say for the Eibach as it went in the car right before winter and we all know that in winter everything is more comfortable as all the potholes suddenly disappeared

That's exactly what I think of mine. Small bumps and tar strips are barely noticeable but even moderate sized bumps start "hopping" the car causing a bumpy and noisy ride. Around where I drive, there's quite a bit of crappy main roads and even worse back roads so sometimes I still comtemplate on keeping the Versa forever or one day trading it for a 4 banger SUV or something. I know it's not just my Versa because the one we test drove for my wife but decided not to get was smooth on newer roads but then became noisy on the rough roads. The salesguy let us take it away from the dealership for a bit by ourselves. (even though I had to refuse his rip off of a deal when we got back)

ANYWAYS, with no experience of using any lowering springs on this car, I can't say much but I might guess that the Tanabe springs are more for looks than they are handling due their NF line only being "up to 5% spring rate increase over stock" and the Nismo suspension kit being 20% stiffer might be a better shot for performance but the stiffer you go, the worse your ride is.
